East Oxford Farmers’ & Community Market takes place every Saturday 12pm-3pm.

Want some freshly made organic cake? local in season veg?
eggs of all sizes? organic milk (both semi & full available)? bread from a traditional stoneground bakery in Wheatley?
good curry, catch-up and cup of tea at a café? wonderful cheese from a passionate cheesemaker featured in the Guardian food section in a cheese special (‘Around Britain with a Fork’, Crudges Cheese)?
fresh pasta made in front of your very eyes, wonderful beetroot or potato bread, or fresh fudge? an Ecover top-up & other fairtrade produce?
handmade jam and chutney or pesto and dips? colourful fairtrade clothes made in India? handmade moisturiser and soap made using only the herbs in the stallholder’s garden? mango lassi and yummy samosas?

This market is where you want to shop.  By shopping here, you’re putting money directly into the hands of producers in the local area, supporting the local economy, boycotting chain stores, plus you get to discuss the food you are putting into your body with the person who knows most about it.  It is pretty cool.
